51. Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 28

He then became fearful of them. They said: "Do not fear, " and they gave him good news of a knowledgeable son.

Then he felt apprehensive of them. They said, "Fear not!" And gave him the glad news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. (Abraham was concerned, since people with aggressive designs used to refuse hospitality. But they were hurrying to Sodom (11:69-76), (15:50-55), (26:69), (29:31)).

And he sensed fear from them. They said: “Fear thou not!” And they gave him glad tidings of a learned lad.

He then became fearful of them. They said: "Do not fear," and they gave him good news of a knowledgeable son.

He felt afraid of them but they said, ‘Do not be afraid!’ and gave him the good news of a son imbued with knowledge.

He harbored fear of them. They said, "Have no fear," and they gave good news of a knowledgeable son.

He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear, " and gave him the good news of a wise son.

And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.

[And when he saw that the guests would not eat, ] he became apprehensive of them; [but] they said, "Fear not" - and gave him the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who would be endowed with deep knowledge.

Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son.

back he recoiled apprehensive and pervaded with fear, but they consoled him and in good will they said: "Do not be afraid " and they authoritatively made to him the intimation of the coming of a well informed and wise son who would have a sound judgment and the ability to perceive and adopt the best means for accomplishing an end.

As they refused to eat, fear overtook him. The angles said: "Do not be afraid, we are here to give you a good news: Pretty soon God will give you a wise and knowledgeable son."

Then he conceived fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not."[1] And they gave him glad tidings of a son having knowledge (about Allâh and His religion of True Monotheism).

(When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge.

˹They did not eat,˺ so he grew fearful of them.[1] They reassured ˹him˺, "Do not be afraid," and gave him good news of a knowledgeable son.[2]

So he felt some fear in his heart. They said, "Be not scared." And they gave him the good news of (the birth of) a knowledgeable boy.

beginning to be afraid of them, but they said, ‘Do not be afraid.’ They gave him good news of a son who would be gifted with knowledge.

Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy.

And he felt a secret fear of them: said they, Fear not. ' And they gave him glad tidings of a knowing boy.

(When they did not eat) he conceived in his mind a fear of them. They said, "Fear not." And they gave him the good news of a son endowed with knowledge.

Then he entertained a fright of them. They said, "Do not fear (anything)." And they gave him good tidings of a knowledgeable youth.

And he began to entertain a fear of them. They said, fear not: And they declared unto him the promise of a wise youth.

(When they did not eat), he became afraid of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge.

(When they did not eat) he felt afraid of them. They said, `Have no fear.' And they proclaimed to him the good news of (the birth of) a son who would be blessed with knowledge

Then he felt a fear of them. They said, ‘Do not be afraid!’ and they gave him the good news of a wise son.
