70. Surah Al-Ma'arij, Verse 11

When they see it, the criminal will wish he can ransom his children against the retribution.

Even though they will be within sight of one another. The guilty will desire to give his own children to ransom himself from suffering of the Day.

They will be given sight of them: — the lawbreaker will wish that should he be ransomed from the punishment of that day by his sons,

When they see it, the criminal will wish he can ransom his children against the retribution.

When they see it, the criminal will wish he can ransom his children against the retribution.

even though they can see each other. An evildoer will wish he could ransom himself from the punishment of that Day, by means of his sons,

When they see them, the guilty will wish he could give his own children as ransom, to spare him the retribution of that day.

Though within sight of one another. The sinner would like to ransom himself from the torment of that Day by offering his sons,

They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children

though they may be in one another's sight: [for, ] everyone who was lost in sin will on that Day but desire to ransom himself from suffering at the price of his own children,

Though they will be given sight of them. The guilty man will long to be able to ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children

All of them -the infidels- will see each other but they are dumbfounded, then and there shall the wicked wish he could be redeemed from that endless and severe punishment with the lives of his own children.

Although the eyes will see each other….

Though they shall be made to see one another [(i.e. on the Day of Resurrection), there will be none but see his father, children and relatives, but he will neither speak to them nor will ask them for any help]. The Mujrim, (criminal, sinner, disbeliever) would desire to ransom himself from the punishment of that Day by his children,

Though they will be put in sight of each other,- the sinner's desire will be: Would that he could redeem himself from the Penalty of that Day by (sacrificing) his children,

˹although˺ they will be made to see each other. The wicked will wish to ransom themselves from the punishment of that Day by their children,

(though) they will be made to see each other. A guilty person will desire that he may be able to ransom himself from the torment of that day even by his sons,

even when they are within sight of one another. The guilty person will wish he could save himself from the suffering of that Day by sacrificing his sons,

as they are given sight of them. The sinner will wish that he might ransom himself from the chastisement of that day even by his sons,

they shall gaze on each other, and the sinner would fain give as a ransom from the torment of that day his sons

Though they shall be given sight of each other. The guilty one would fain redeem himself from the chastisement of that day by sacrificing his children,

(As) they are made to behold them (i. e., each other). The criminal would like that he might ransom himself of the torment upon that Day (even) by his seeds,

they see one another. The wicked shall wish to redeem himself from the punishment of that day, by giving up his children,

Though they will be put in sight of each other— The sinners (only) wish will be that he could save himself from the penalty of that Day by (even offering) his children.

(Though) they will be placed in sight of one another. The guilty person would wish to redeem himself from the punishment of that day (even) by (offering) his children (as ransom);

[though] they will be placed within each other’s sight. The guilty one will wish he could ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children,
