56. Surah Al-Waqi'ah, Verse 7

وَكُنْتُمْ اَزْوَاجاً ثَلٰثَةًۜ

Wakuntum azwajan thalatha

And you will be classed into three:

  • Progressive Muslims

    And you will be in three groupings.

  • Shabbir Ahmed

    Then, you shall be three kinds.

  • Sam Gerrans

    And you will be three kinds:

  • The Monotheist Group

    And you will be in three groupings.

  • Edip-Layth

    You will be in three groupings.

  • Aisha Bewley

    And you will be classed into three:

  • Rashad Khalifa

    You will be stratified into three kinds.

  • Mohamed Ahmed - Samira

    You will become three categories:

  • Sahih International

    And you become [of] three kinds:

  • Muhammad Asad

    [on that Day, ] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds.

  • Marmaduke Pickthall

    And ye will be three kinds:

  • Abdel Khalek Himmat

    There and then, you people shall fall into one of three orders, each occupying the position accorded with his merit.

  • Bijan Moeinian

    Then people will be ranked into three categories:

  • Al-Hilali & Khan

    And you (all) will be in three groups.

  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali

    And ye shall be sorted out into three classes.

    you will ˹all˺ be ˹divided into˺ three groups:

  • Taqi Usmani

    and you will be (divided into) three categories.

    then you will be sorted into three classes.
