53. Surah An-Najm, Verse 34

And he gave very little, then he stopped.

And gives so little of himself, yet with a heavy heart?

And gave a little, and then withheld?

And he gave very little, then he stopped.

He gave very little, and then he stopped.

and gives little, and that grudgingly?

Rarely did he give to charity, and then very little.

Who gives but little, and is niggardly?

And gave a little and [then] refrained?

and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul], and so grudgingly?

And gave a little, then was grudging?

And when he gives he gives a little, be it what confers somewhat to the need or comfort of others or rendering a service, or giving one his due, or imparting knowledge, or giving help in some way or another, and yet he stops short and gives grudgingly.

and was stingy in charity?

And gave a little, then stopped (giving)?

Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)?

and ˹initially˺ paid a little ˹for his salvation˺, and then stopped?

and gave a little, and stopped?

he only gave a little and then he stopped.

and gives a little, and then grudgingly?

who gives but little and then stops?

And gives a little and then withholds.

And gives little and (then) parsimoniously?

and giveth little, and covetously stoppeth his hand?

Gives (in) a little then hardens his heart (and his feelings)?

And gives but a little (in the cause of Allâh) and does it grudgingly.
