48. Surah Al-Fath, Verse 10
اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ اِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ اللّٰهَۜ يَدُ اللّٰهِ فَوْقَ اَيْد۪يهِمْۚ فَمَنْ نَكَثَ فَاِنَّمَا يَنْكُثُ عَلٰى نَفْسِه۪ۚ وَمَنْ اَوْفٰى بِمَا عَاهَدَ عَلَيْهُ اللّٰهَ فَسَيُؤْت۪يهِ اَجْراً عَظ۪يماً۟
Inna allatheena yubayiAAoonakainnama yubayiAAoona Allaha yadu Allahifawqa aydeehim faman nakatha fa-innama yankuthu AAalanafsihi waman awfa bima AAahada AAalayhu Allahafasayu/teehi ajran AAatheema
Those who pledge you their allegiance pledge allegiance to Allah. Allah’s hand is over their hands. He who breaks his pledge only breaks it against himself. But as for him who fulfils the contract he has made with Allah, We will pay him an immense reward.
