29. Surah Al-'Ankabut, Verse 31

And when Our messengers came to Abraham with good news, they then said: "We are to destroy the people of such a town, for its people have been wicked. "

When Our Messengers brought the glad news to Abraham (of a son Isaac), they also said, "We are appointed to herald the annihilation of that town, for its people are wrongdoers. " (Abraham lived in Hebron, Palestine about 1800 B.C. From the heights in Hebron they could see the Valley of Sodom by the Dead Sea).

And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said: “We will destroy the people of this city; its people are wrongdoers.”

And when Our messengers came to Abraham with good news, they said: "We are to destroy the people of such a town, for its people have been wicked."

When Our messengers came to Abraham with good news, they then said, "We are to destroy the people of such a town, for its people have been wicked."

When Our messengers came with the good news to Ibrahim, they said, ‘We are going to destroy the people of this city. Truly its inhabitants are wrongdoers.’

When our messengers went to Abraham with good news (about Isaac's birth), they also said, "We are on our way to annihilate the people of that town (Sodom), for its people have been wicked."

When Our messengers came to Abraham with good news, they said: "We have to destroy this city as its inhabitants have become sinful. "

And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good tidings, they said, "Indeed, we will destroy the people of that Lot's city. Indeed, its people have been wrongdoers."

And so, when Our [heavenly] messengers came to Abraham with the glad tiding [of the birth of Isaac], they [also] said, "Behold, we are about to destroy the people of that land, for its people are truly evildoers!"

And when Our messengers brought Abraham the good news, they said: Lo! we are about to destroy the people of that township, for its people are wrong-doers.

And when Our Messengers -The angels- visited Ibrahim and intimated to him the joyful tidings (of the birth of a son in that advanced age) they said to him; "we will be reducing this town and its inhabitants to a useless form, they have been wrongful of actions. "

[In response to the Lot’s prayer, ] God sent His messengers [passing through Abraham’s land] giving Abraham the good news [of the birth of Prophet Isaac as well as the prophet hood of Isaac’s unborn son, i. e., Jacob] saying: "We are in our way to destroy those people [of Sodom] who have gone too far in wickedness.

And when Our Messengers came to Ibrâhîm (Abraham) with the glad tidings they said: "Verily, we are going to destroy the people of this [Lût (Lot’s)] town (i.e. the town of Sodom in Palestine); truly, its people have been Zâlimûn [wrong-doers, polytheists disobedient to Allâh, and who belied their Messenger Lût (Lot)]."

When Our Messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said: "We are indeed going to destroy the people of this township: for truly they are (addicted to) crime."

When Our messenger-angels came to Abraham with the good news ˹of the birth of Isaac˺, they said, "We are going to destroy the people of this city ˹of Sodom˺, for its people have persisted in wrongdoing."

And when Our messengers came to Ibrāhīm with the good news, they said, "We are going to destroy the people of this town. Surely its people have been transgressors."

When Our mes-sengers brought the good news [of the birth of a son] to Abraham,they told him, ‘We are about to destroy the people of that town. They are wrongdoers.’

And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good tidings, they said, 'We shall destroy the people of this city, for its people are evildoers. '

And when our messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said, 'We are about to destroy the people of this city. Verily, the people thereof are wrong-doers.'

Said he, "My Lord! Help me against a people who do evil!"

And as soon as Our Messengers came to Ibrahîm with the good tidings, they said, "Surely we will cause the population of this town to perish; surely its population have been unjust. "

And when our messengers came unto Abraham with good tidings, they said, we will surely destroy the inhabitants of this city; for the inhabitants thereof are unjust doers.

And when Our messengers (Allah’s angels) came to Ibrahim (Abraham) with the good news, they said: "Truly, we are going to ruin the people of this town: Surely, its people have been the wrongdoers.

And when Our messengers came to Abraham with important news, they said, `We are going to destroy people of this township for its inhabitants are certainly wrongdoers. '

And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said, ‘We are indeed going to destroy the people of this town. Its people are indeed wrongdoers.’
