40. Surah Ghafir, Verse 49

And those who are in Fire will say to the guardians of Hell: "Call upon your Lord to reduce for us the retribution, by just one day!"

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Ask your Lord that He lighten for us one day of this torment. "

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Gehenna: “Call to your Lord, to lighten for us a day of the punishment.”

And those who are in the Fire will say to the guardians of Hell: "Call upon your Lord to reduce for us the retribution, by just one day!"

Those who are in fire will say to the guardians of hell: "Call upon your Lord to reduce for us the retribution, by just one day!"

Those in the Fire will say to the custodians of Hell, ‘Call on your Lord to make the punishment less for us for just one day. ’

Those in the hellfire will say to the guardians of Hell, "Call upon your Lord to reduce the retribution for us, for even one day."

Those in the Fire will say to the warders of Hell: "Ask your Lord to reduce the punishment by a day for us. "

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us a day from the punishment. "

And they who are in the fire will say to the keepers of hell, "Pray unto your Sustainer that He lighten, [though it be] for one day [only], this suffering of ours!"

And those in the Fire say unto the guards of hell: Entreat your Lord that He relieve us of a day of the torment.

And there shall the inmates of Hell say to the sentinels who keep guard: "Would you invoke Allah your Creator to ease our anguish and torture just for one day!"

[Disappointed from their "superiors’" inability, ] They will turn then into the Hell Keepers saying: “We beg you to pray so that God may give us only one day break from the Fire. ”

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers (angels) of Hell: "Call upon your Lord to lighten for us the torment for a day!"

Those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Hell: "Pray to your Lord to lighten us the Penalty for a day (at least)!"

And those in the Fire will cry out to the keepers of Hell,[1] "Pray to your Lord to lighten the torment for us ˹even˺ for one day!"

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Jahannam (Hell), "Pray to your Lord to lighten the punishment for us some day."

Those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, ‘Ask your Lord to lessen our suffering for one day,’

And those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Gehenna, 'Call on your Lord, to lighten for us one day of the chastisement!'

And those who are in the fire shall say unto the keepers of hell, 'Call upon your Lord to lighten from us one day of the torment. '

And those who are in the fire shall say to the keepers of Hell, "Call upon your Lord that He may lighten to us one day of this punishment. "

And the ones who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Invoke your Lord to lighten for us one day of the torment!"

And they who shall be in the fire, shall say unto the keepers of hell, call ye on your Lord, that He would ease us, for one day, from this punishment.

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell: "Pray to your Lord to lighten us the punishment (even) for a Day!"

And those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Gehenna, `Call to your Lord that He may relieve us of our agony for a while. '

Those in the Fire will say to the keepers of hell, ‘Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us [at least] a day’s punishment. ’
