37. Surah As-Saffat, Verse 98

So they wanted to harm him, but We made them the losers.

But as they schemed against him, We brought them low.

And they intended for him a plan; but We made them the lowest.

So they wanted to plan against him, but We made them the losers.

So they wanted to harm him, but We made them the losers.

They tried to outwit him but We made them the lowest.

They schemed against him, but we made them the losers.

So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject.

And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.

But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low?

And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost.

And they thought of contriving against him but We made them the losers who lost the most.

They plotted a plan against him and God defeated them in their own plan [as the fire did not have any effect upon Abraham. ]

So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest.

(This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated!

And so they sought to harm him, but We made them inferior.

So, they intended to bring harm to him, but We made them the lowest (by frustrating their plan).

They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them.

They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones.

They desired to plot against him, but we made them inferior.

And they designed a plot against him, but We brought them low.

So they were willing to devise a plot against him; yet We made them the basest.

And they devised a plot against him; but We made them the inferior, and delivered him.

So (after having failed; See 21. 69), they then took a way (to hurt) against him, but We made them the ones most ashamed!

Thus they designed a plan against him, but We made them to be the most humiliated.

So they sought to outwit him, but We made them the lowermost.
