23. Surah Al-Mu'minun, Verse 83

"We, as well as our fathers, have been promised this from before. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients."

Indeed, this we have been promised, we and our forefathers, long ago. These are nothing but tales of the ancient."

“We have been promised this, we and our fathers, before; these are only legends of the former peoples.”

"We, as well as our fathers, have been promised this from before. This is nothing except fictional tales of old!"

"We, as well as our fathers, have been promised this from before. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients."

We and our forefathers were promised this before. This is nothing but the myths of previous peoples!’

"Such promises were given to us and to our parents in the past. These are no more than tales from the past."

We and our fathers were promised this before; it is nothing but ancient lore!"

We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples. "

Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!"

We were already promised this, we and our forefathers. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old.

"We had been promised that before, " they add, "and so had been our fathers. We think this is nothing but fables of old."

No way. We have heard these things being told to our forefathers in ancient mythologies"

"Verily, this we have been promised - we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!"

"Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!"

We have already been promised this, as well as our forefathers earlier. This is nothing but ancient fables!"

This is what has been promised to us and to our fathers before. It is nothing but the tales of the ancients."

We have heard such promises before, and so did our forefathers. These are just ancient fables.’

We and our fathers have been promised this before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients. '

We have been promised this, and our fathers too, before;- this is naught but old folks' tales!'

They said, "What! When we have become earth and bones, are we then going to be raised again?

Indeed we and our fathers have already been promised this earlier; decidedly this is nothing except myths of the earliest (people). "

We have already been threatened with this, and our fathers also heretofore: This is nothing but fables of the ancients.

"Verily, such things have been promised to us and our fathers before! This is nothing but the stories of the ancient!"

`Surely, we and our forefathers have already been given such promises before. These are nothing but only fables of the former people.'

Certainly we and our fathers were promised this before. [But] these are nothing but myths of the ancients.’
