15. Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 13

They do not believe in it, while the examples of the early generations has been brought to them.

They accept not the Message. Such has been the way of those who went before them.

They believe not in it; and the practice of the former peoples has passed away.

They do not believe in it, while the way of the earlier generations has gone before.

They do not acknowledge it, while the examples of the early generations has been brought to them.

They do not have iman in it, even though the example of the previous peoples has gone before.

Consequently, they cannot believe in him. This has been the system since the past generations.

So, they will not believe in it: The example of former people is there.

They will not believe in it, while there has already occurred the precedent of the former peoples.

who do not believe in it, although the way which those [evildoers] of olden times had to go has long been within their ken.

They believe not therein, though the example of the men of old hath gone before.

They just refuse to recognize him nor do they accept his message, notwithstanding that Allah's mode of action which has long been pursued in the past for each typical instance forming a particular case of a principle and a signal instance of punishment shall not alter.

However, they did not believe their prophet; being stubborn is the state of mind and a characteristic of the disbelievers

They would not believe in it (the Qur’ân); and already the example of (Allâh’s punishment of) the ancients (who disbelieved) has gone forth.

That they should not believe in the (Message); but the ways of the ancients have passed away.

They would not believe in this ˹Quran˺ despite the ˹many˺ examples of those ˹destroyed˺ before.

(whereby) they do not believe in it (the Qur’ān), and this has been the way of earlier people.

They will not believe in it. That was what happened with the peoples of long ago,

they believe not in it, though the wont of the ancients is already gone.

They will not believe therein, but the course of those of yore is run.

They will not believe therein, though the example of those of past times is before them.

They do not believe in it; (The Message) and the enactment (The reward for good and evil) (for) the earliest (people) has already passed away.

They shall not believe on him; and the sentence of the nations of old hath been executed heretofore.

That they should not believe in (the Message, the Quran); But (now) the ways of the old have passed away.

They will not believe in this (Qur'ân), though the precedence of the former peoples has already gone (before them showing how the opposition of truth makes them deserving of the punishment of God).
