26. Surah Ash-Shu'ara, Verse 158

So the retribution took them. In that is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

So, the Retribution seized them. Herein is indeed a sign, yet most people are not believers (in the Law of Requital).

And the punishment seized them. In that is a proof, but most of them are not believers.

So the retribution took them. In that is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

for the punishment did come down them. There is certainly a Sign in that, yet most of them are not muminun.

The retribution overwhelmed them. This should be a lesson, but most people are not believers.

For they were seized by the torment. Verily there was a sign in this, but most of them did not believe.

And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

for the suffering [predicted by Salih, ] befell them [then and there]. In this [story], behold, there is a message [unto men], even though most of them will not believe [in it].

So the retribution came on them. Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers.

They were overtaken by Allah's wrath which spoke thunder. This is indeed emblematic of His Omnipotence and Authority but most of them denied Him Who brought them into existence.

So the torment overtook them. Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers.

But the Penalty seized them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.

So the punishment overtook them. Surely in this is a sign. Yet most of them would not believe.

the punishment fell upon them. There truly is a sign in this, though most of them will not believe:

and the chastisement seized them. Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers.

and the torment seized them; verily, in that is a sign; but most of them will never be believers:

But they hamstrung her, and on the morrow they repented;

Then the torment took them (away). Surely in that is indeed a sign, and in no way were most of them believers.

For the punishment which had been threatened overtook them. Verily herein was a sign; but the greater part of them did not believe.

But the penalty seized them, surely there is indeed a Sign in this but most of them do not believe.

Consequently (the threatened) punishment overtook them. Behold! there is a remarkably great sign in this (episode); yet most of them would not be believers.

So the punishment seized them. There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.
