7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 78

The Earthquake took them, so they became lifeless in their homes.

(In their life of luxury, like other strong nations they felt invincible. ) The destruction came from under their feet. A powerful earthquake annihilated them, leaving them lifeless in their homes.

So the earthquake seized them; and morning found them lying prone in their home,

The earthquake took them, thus they became lifeless in their home.

The earthquake took them, so they fell motionless in their homes.

So the earthquake seized them and morning found them lying flattened in their homes.

Consequently, the quake annihilated them, leaving them dead in their homes.

Then they were seized by an earthquake, and lay overturned on the ground in their homes in the morning.

So the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone.

Thereupon an earthquake overtook them: and then they lay lifeless, in their very homes, on the ground.

So the earthquake seized them, and morning found them prostrate in their dwelling-place.

There, did the destructive convulsion of the earth's surface seize them and reduced them to a useless form and laid them prostrate and dead under the ruins of their demolished homes.

Eventually they were killed by a sudden catastrophe, while resting at home.

So the earthquake seized them, and they lay (dead), prostrate in their homes.

So the earthquake took them unawares, and they lay prostrate in their homes in the morning!

Then an ˹overwhelming˺ earthquake struck them, and they fell lifeless in their homes.

So, the earthquake seized them, and they were (found dead) in their homes, fallen on their faces.

So the earthquake seized them, and morning found them in their habitation fallen prostrate.

Then the earthquake took them, and in the morning they lay prone in their dwellings;

Then the Commotion took them (away), and so (in the morning) they became cowering (bodies) in their residence.

Whereupon a terrible noise from heaven assailed them; and in the morning they were found in their dwellings prostrate on their breasts and dead.

So the earthquake overtook them while they were not aware, and they lay on their face down in their homes in the morning!

So the earthquake seized them and the morning found them lying prostrate on the ground in their habitations.

So the earthquake seized them, and they lay lifeless prostrate in their homes.
