61. Surah As-Saf, Verse 8

They wish to put out God's light with their mouths. But God will continue with His light, even if the rejecters dislike it.

They aim to put out Allah's Light with their mouths (utterances), but Allah has willed to spread His Light in all its fullness, however hateful this may be to the deniers of the Truth.

They want to extinguish the light of God with their mouths; but God will perfect His light, though the false claimers of guidance be averse.

They want to extinguish the light of God with their mouths. But God will continue with His light, even if the rejecters hate it.

They wish to put out God's light with their mouths. But God will continue with His light, even if the ingrates dislike it.

They desire to extinguish Allah’s Light with their mouths but Allah will perfect His Light, though the kafirun hate it.

They wish to put out GOD's light with their mouths. But GOD insists upon perfecting His light, in spite of the disbelievers.

They want to extinguish the light of God by uttering blasphemies. But God wills to perfect His light, however the unbelievers may dislike it.

They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.

They aim to extinguish God's light with their utterances: but God has willed to spread His light in all its fullness, however hateful this may be to all who deny the truth

Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light however much the disbelievers are averse.

They wish they could, with all the feeling in their minds directed toward falsifying the truth, quench the very light of Allah by word of mouth, (that is by propagating false rumours and uttering error against Him). But Allah shall continue to send His illumination -the Quran- which proceeds from Him until the souls have been lit by the divine truth and enlightenment has prevailed albeit this is hateful to those who refuse to acknowledge the truth.

The disbelievers will be the most content to see the "Light of God" is being turned off by their words. What they do not realize is that the “Light of God” will keep shining in spit of the fact that the disbelievers resent it.

They intend to put out the Light of Allâh (i.e. the Religion of Islâm, this Qur’ân, and the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with their mouths. But Allâh will bring His Light to perfection even though the disbelievers hate (it).

Their intention is to extinguish Allah's Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).

They wish to extinguish Allah’s light with their mouths, but Allah will ˹certainly˺ perfect His light, even to the dismay of the disbelievers.

They wish to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah is to perfect His light, even though the disbelievers dislike (it).

they wish to put His light out with their mouths. But He will perfect His light, even though the disbelievers hate it;

They desire to extinguish with their mouths, the light of God; but God will perfect His light, though the unbelievers be averse.

They desire to put out the light of God with their mouths; but God will perfect His light, averse although the misbeliever be!

They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, though the unbelievers may be averse.

They would (like) to extinguish the Light of Allah with their mouths; and Allah is perfecting His Light even though the disbelievers hate (that)

They seek to extinguish God's light with their mouths: But God will perfect his light, though the infidels be averse thereto.

Their intention is to darken Allah’s Light (by bellowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (brightening) His Light. Even though the unbelievers may dislike (it).

They desire to extinguish the light of Allâh with (the breath of) their mouths. But Allâh will perfect His light even though the disbelievers consider it hard.

They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah shall perfect His light though the faithless should be averse.
