You who have iman! be helpers of Allah as ‘Isa son of Maryam said to the Disciples, ‘Who will be my helpers to Allah?’ The Disciples said, ‘We will be the helpers of Allah. ’ One faction of the tribe of Israel had iman and the other were kafir. So We supported those who had iman against their enemy and they became victorious.

Thus a group from the Children of Israel accepted him, and another group rejected him. Then We strengthened those who believed, against their foe, and they became triumphant.

O YOU who have attained to faith! Be helpers [in the cause of God - even as Jesus, the son of Mary, said unto the white-garbed ones, "Who will be my helpers in God's cause?" - whereupon the white-garbed [disciples] replied, "We shall be [thy] helpers [in the cause] of God!" And so [it happened that] some of the children of Israel came to believe [in the apostleship of Jesus], whereas others denied the truth. But [now] We have given strength against their foes unto those who have [truly] attained to faith: and they have become the ones that shall prevail.

O you whose hearts reflect the image of religious and spiritual virtues: Devote yourselves to the pursuit of helping Allah's cause and His purpose until the end crowns the deed. This is consonant with what Isa had asked of his Disciples. He said to them: " Who will be my votaries in the pursuit of the cause of Allah and His purpose?" The Disciples said: " We are the votaries of Allah, addicted to striving in His cause and helping His purpose." There, did belief strike to the hearts of part of Bani Isreal and the other part counseled deaf and debased Isa and his mother. And so We upheld those who recognized him and recognized the Singleness, the Uniqueness, Sameness and of the One and only Ilah; We gave them command, dominion and authority over the others and they emerged into distinguished and distinct notice.
- Bijan Moeinian
O’ you who believe, be "helpers" of God the same way that the disciples of Jesus answered his call saying:” We are the helpers of God. ” The Israelites then were divided into two groups; God will give superiority to those Jews who followed Jesus up to the day of Judgment.
