55. Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 20

A barrier is placed between them, which they do not cross.

Yet, there is a Barrier between them that they cannot exceed. (The great bodies of salt water and fresh water).

Between them a barrier they transgress not;

A barrier is placed between them, which they do not cross.

A barrier is placed between them, which they do not cross.

with a barrier between them they do not break through.

A barrier is placed between them, to prevent them from transgressing.

With an interstice between them which they cannot cross.

Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.

[yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress.

There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other).

And He set up an immaterial and natural barrier between them so that none of them gains advantage on the kingdom of the other

wherein they do not get diluted in each other [the warm water of Gulf Stream, for example, does not mix with the water of Atlantic Ocean for thousands of miles].

Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress.

Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress:

yet between them is a barrier they never cross.[1]

while there is a barrier between them; they do not encroach (upon one another).

yet there is a barrier between them they do not cross.

between them a barrier they do not overpass.

between them is a barrier they cannot pass!

Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress.

Between them (both) is an isthmus (i. e., an obstruction) (which) they do not overpass. (Literally: none of them is inequitable)

Between them is placed a bar which they cannot pass.

Between them is a barrier that they do not willfully overstep;

(At present) a barrier stands between them. They cannot encroach one upon the other.

There is a barrier between them which they do not overstep.
