5. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 102

A people before you had asked the same, then they became rejecters in it.

Some folk before you asked such questions and then rejected the instructions (2:68).

There did ask a people before you, then became deniers thereof.

A people before you had asked the same, then they became rejecters in it.

A community before you had asked the same, then they became ingrates in it.

People before you asked about them and then later came to reject them.

Others before you have asked the same questions, then became disbelievers therein.

Such things were asked by a people before you, but they disbelieved them afterwards.

A people asked such [questions] before you; then they became thereby disbelievers.

People before your time have indeed asked such questions-and in result thereof have come to deny the truth.

A folk before you asked (for such disclosures) and then disbelieved therein.

Some of those who preceded you had peered inquisitively into such matters and asked all sorts of questions, and when the nature of such matters was overtly declared, they simply lost faith; they dismissed the idea and were no longer loving subjects but disobedient rebels.

Some people before you asked such questions; then they were driven toward the disbelief in account of their very own questions [as they could not face the answers. ]

Before you, a community asked such questions, then on that account they became disbelievers.

Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith.

Some people before you asked such questions then denied their answers.

People before you asked such questions, and then, as a result, became disbelievers.

Before you, some people asked about things, then ignored [the answers].

A people before you questioned concerning them, then disbelieved in them.

People before you have asked about that, yet on the morrow did they disbelieve therein.

People before you have asked such questions, yet on the morrow they disbelieved therein (or lost their faith).

A people even before you already asked about them; thereafter they became disbelievers in them.

A people before you asked about such things, but then they became disbelievers therein.

Some people before you asked such questions, and for that reason (they) lost their faith.

A people before you asked questions about such (details and) then they became disbelievers therein.

Certainly some people asked about them before you and then came to disbelieve in them.
