35. Surah Fatir, Verse 26

But then I seized those who rejected; how terrible was My retribution!

Then My Law of Requital seized the rejecters of the Truth, and how intense was My rejection!

Then I seized those who ignored warning — then how was My rejection!

Then I seized those who rejected; so how was My retribution!

But then I seized those who rejected; how terrible was My retribution!

Then I seized hold of those who were kafir and how absolute was My rejection!

Subsequently, I punished those who disbelieved; how terrible was My retribution!

So We seized the unbelievers. How great was the change I wrought in their condition then!

Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

[but] in the end I took to task all those who were bent on denying the truth: and how awesome was My rejection!

Then seized I those who disbelieved, and how intense was My abhorrence!

In consequence, did I cast them from a position of prosperity and power and brought them to ruin and how unbearable and befitting was the retribution.

That is why I punished them. What a terrible punishment they had to face.

Then I took hold of those who disbelieved: and how terrible was My denial (punishment)!

In the end did I punish those who rejected Faith: and how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)!

Then I seized those who persisted in disbelief. How severe was My response!

Then I seized those who disbelieved. So, how was My censure !

and afterwards I seized the disbelievers- how terrible My punishment was!

then I seized the unbelievers, and how was My horror!

Then I seized those who misbelieved, and what a change it was!

And if they call you a liar, so did, indeed, those before them (call their messengers a liar); their Messengers had come to them with clear arguments, and with scriptures, and with the illuminating book.

Thereafter I took (away) (the ones) who disbelieved; then how was My disclaiming!

Afterwards I chastised those who were unbelievers; and how severe was my vengeance!

In the end, I (Allah) did punish those who rejected Faith: And how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)!

Then I took those who disbelieved to task, then (you saw) how (terrible) was the result of My disapproval (of them, and how tremendous was the change I brought)!

Then I seized the faithless. So how was My rebuttal!
