33. Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 49
يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ تَعْتَدُّونَهَاۚ فَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوهُنَّ سَرَاحاً جَم۪يلاً
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha nakahtumu almu/minati thumma tallaqtumoohunnamin qabli an tamassoohunna fama lakum AAalayhinna minAAiddatin taAAtaddoonaha famattiAAoohunna wasarrihoohunnasarahan jameela
You who have iman! when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them, there is no ‘idda for you to calculate for them, so give them a gift and let them go with kindness.
