3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 66

Here you have debated in what you knew; so why then do you debate in what you do not know God knows while you do not know.

You argued in matters of which you had knowledge (with Moses and about Jesus); why dispute in matters that you know nothing about? Indeed Allah knows and you don't.

Here you are: those who have disputed about that whereof you have knowledge; why then dispute you about that whereof you have no knowledge? And God knows, and you know not.

Here you have debated in what you knew; so why then do you debate in what you do not know? And God knows while you do not know.

Here you have debated in what you knew; so why then do you debate in what you do not know? God knows while you may not know.

You are people arguing about something of which you have no knowledge. Why do you argue about something of which you have no knowledge? Allah knows; you do not know.’

You have argued about things you knew; why do you argue about things you do not know? GOD knows, while you do not know.

Remember you are those who disputed the things you knew; so wherefore dispute about things you do not know? And God has the knowledge, while you do not know.

Here you are - those who have argued about that of which you have [some] knowledge, but why do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows, while you know not.

Lo! You are the ones who would argue about that which is known to you; but why do you argue about something which is unknown to you? Yet God knows [it], whereas you do not know:

Lo! ye are those who argue about that whereof ye have some knowledge: Why then argue ye concerning that whereof ye have no knowledge? Allah knoweth. Ye know not.

There, you continued with arguments about your system of faith and of the mission of ‘Isa, son of Maryam. Why bring forward reasons in support of or against a matter of which you have empty knowledge? Allah is 'Alimun whereas you are not!

You have already disputed [and changed the nature of the truth] of what you had at least some knowledge about it. Why are you now disputing about what you do not have any knowledge about it? God knows and you do not know that:

Verily, you are those who have disputed about that of which you have knowledge. Why do you then dispute concerning that of which you have no knowledge? It is Allâh Who knows, and you know not.

Ah! Ye are those who fell to disputing (Even) in matters of which ye had some knowledge! but why dispute ye in matters of which ye have no knowledge? It is Allah Who knows, and ye who know not!

Here you are! You disputed about what you have ˹little˺ knowledge of,[1] but why do you now argue about what you have no knowledge of?[2] Allah knows and you do not know.

Look, this is what you are - you have already argued about matters concerning which you have knowledge; why then do you argue about matters of which you have no knowledge? Allah knows and you do not know.

You argue about some things of which you have some knowledge, but why do you argue about things of which you know nothing? God knows and you do not.

Ha, you are the ones who dispute on what you know; why then dispute you touching a matter of which you know not anything? God knows, and you know not.

Here ye are, disputing about what ye have some knowledge of; why then do ye dispute about what ye have no knowledge of? God knows and ye know not.

Here you are, disputing about what you have some knowledge of; why then do you dispute about what you have no knowledge? Allah knows and you know not.

Now you are the ones who have argued about what you have (some) knowledge (of); so, why do you argue about what you have no knowledge (of); and Allah knows and you do not know.

Behold ye are they who dispute concerning that which ye have some knowledge in; why therefore do ye dispute concerning that which ye have no knowledge of? God knoweth, but ye know not.

Surely! You are those who fell into disagreements in matters about which you had some knowledge! But why do you dispute in matters about which you have no knowledge? It is Allah Who knows and you who do not know!

Behold! you are such as have argued about that whereof you had a little knowledge, now, why do you argue about that whereof you have no knowledge at all? Indeed, Allâh knows the truth while you do not.

Ah! You are the very ones who argue about that of which you have knowledge. Why then do you argue about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows and you do not know.
