28. Surah Al-Qasas, Verse 58
وَكَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ بَطِرَتْ مَع۪يشَتَهَاۚ فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَنْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ اِلَّا قَل۪يلاًۜ وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِث۪ينَ
Wakam ahlakna min qaryatin batiratmaAAeeshataha fatilka masakinuhum lam tuskan minbaAAdihim illa qaleelan wakunna nahnu alwaritheen
How many cities We have destroyed which lived in insolent ingratitude! There are their houses, never again inhabited after them, except a little. It was We who were their Heir.
