19. Surah Maryam, Verse 13

And he had kindness from Us and purity, and he was ever righteous.

We gave him compassion and a spotless character. And he lived an upright life.

And tenderness from Us, and purity; and he was in prudent fear,

And tenderness from Us, and purity, and he was ever righteous.

He had kindness from Us and purity, and he was ever righteous.

and tenderness and purity from Us – he had taqwa –

And (we endowed him with) kindness from us and purity, for he was righteous.

And compassion from Us, and goodness. So he was devout,

And affection from Us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah

as well as, by Our grace, [the gift of] compassion and purity; and he was [always] conscious of Us

And compassion from Our presence, and purity; and he was devout,

And We imbued him with compassion and tenderness of the heart and We made piety reign in his heart and he entertained the profound reverence dutiful to Allah.

I gave him tenderness of heart and saved him from any sin and he responded to these blessings with righteousness.

And (made him) sympathetic to men as a mercy (or a grant) from Us, and pure from sins [i.e. Yahyâ (John)] and he was righteous,

And piety (for all creatures) as from Us, and purity: He was devout,

as well as purity and compassion from Us. And he was God-fearing,

and (blessed him with) love from our own, and purity; and he was God-fearing,

tenderness from Us, and purity. He was devout,

and a tenderness from Us, and purity; and he was godfearing,

and grace from us, and purity; and he was pious

(And it was said to his son) " O John! Hold fast the Book", and We gave him Wisdom even as a boy,

And a sympathy from very close to Us, and cleanliness. And he was pious,

and mercy from us, and purity of life; and he was a devout person,

And pity (for all creatures) as from Us, and purity: He was truly pious,

And tenderheartedness and purity by Our (special) grace. He was one who carefully guarded against evil.

and a compassion and purity from Us. He was Godwary,
