12. Surah Yusuf, Verse 82

"And ask the people of the town which we were in, and the caravan which we have returned with. We are being truthful."

Ask the township where we were, and the caravan we came with. We are indeed telling the truth.'"

“‘And ask thou of the city in which we were, and the caravan in which we approached; and we are truthful.’”

"And ask the people of the town which we were in, and the caravan which we have returned with. We are being truthful."

"Ask the people of the town which we were in, and the caravan which we have returned with. We are being truthful."

Ask questions of the town in which we were and of the caravan in which we came for we are surely telling you the truth. "’

'You may ask the community where we were, and the caravan that came back with us. We are telling the truth.' "

Enquire from the people of that city, or ask the men of the caravan with whom we have come. We are verily speaking the truth.'"

And ask the city in which we were and the caravan in which we came - and indeed, we are truthful,"

And ask thou in the town in which we were [at the time], and of the people of the caravan with whom we travelled hither, and [thou wilt find that] we, are indeed telling the truth!"'

Ask the township where we were, and the caravan with which we travelled hither. Lo! we speak the truth.

"If you are in doubt of what we relate to you, " they added, "then you may send whom you trust to the city whereat we were, to inquire in the matter of the larceny, and you may also ask the people with whom we travelled, and rest assured that we are telling the truth and nothing but the truth. "

Ask your father to question those who witnessed the whole thing and returned with your caravan.

"And ask (the people of) the town where we have been, and the caravan in which we returned; and indeed we are telling the truth."

"'Ask at the town where we have been and the caravan in which we returned, and (you will find) we are indeed telling the truth.'"

Ask ˹the people of˺ the land where we were and the caravan we travelled with. We are certainly telling the truth.’"

Ask (the people of) the town in which we have been, and the caravan with which we have come, and undoubtedly we are truthful."

Ask in the town where we have been; ask the people of the caravan we travelled with: we are telling the truth."’

Enquire of the city wherein we were, and the caravan in which we approached; surely we are truthful men". '

'Ask then in the city where we were, and of the caravan in which we approached it, for, verily, we tell the truth. '

"Return you to your father and say, 'O our father! Verily, your son has committed theft, and we bore testimony to naught but what we knew. We could not guard against the unseen (the unforeseen, the unknown or the hidden)"

And ask the town wherein we were and the caravan in which we came forward, and surely we are indeed sincere. "

And do thou inquire in the city, where we have been, and of the company of merchants, with whom we are arrived, and thou wilt find that we speak the truth.

" ‘Ask (those from the town) where we have been and the caravan in which we returned, and surely, (you know) we are really telling the truth. ’ "

"And you may inquire of (the inhabitants of) the city we were in, and of (the people of) the caravan carrying the corn we accompanied. We speak nothing but the truth".'

Ask [the people of] the town we were in, and the caravan with which we came. We indeed speak the truth.’’ ’
