10. Surah Yunus, Verse 50

Say: "Do you see if His retribution will come to you by night or by day, then which portion would the criminals hasten in"

Say, "Have you thought, when His retribution comes to you suddenly by night, or in the bustling day, what portion of it would the guilty wish to hasten?"

Say thou: “Have you considered: if His punishment come to you by night or by day, what is there of it the lawbreakers will seek to hasten?”

Say: "Do you see if His retribution will come to you by night or by day, then which portion would the criminals hasten in?"

Say, "Do you see if His retribution will come to you by night or by day, then which portion would the criminals hasten in?"

Say: ‘What do you think? If His punishment came upon you by night or day, what part of it would the evildoers then try to hasten?'

Say, "Whether His retribution comes to you by night or by day, why are the transgressors in such a hurry?

Say: "Have you ever thought if His punishment befalls you at night or in the day, what would the sinners do to despatch it?

Say, "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?"

Say: "Have you ever considered [how you would feel] if His chastisement were to befall you by night or by day? What could there be in that prospect that people lost in sin should wish to hasten?

Say: Have ye thought: When His doom cometh unto you as a raid by night, or in the (busy) day; what is there of it that the guilty ones desire to hasten?

Say to them: "What if Allah afflicts you with a penalty by night or by day in requital of your evil deeds or your Hereafter be planted in the now; what benefit would you -the wicked- derive from it that you wish it to be hastened on!

Say to them: "Suppose the Lord’s punishment [that you are asking to be subjected to as a proof of the existence of God] comes upon you (all of a sudden, at night or during the day), What are you going to do to save yourselves from such punishment then?" Why is it that these criminals are anxious to be sentenced to the punishment as soon as possible?

Say: "Tell me, if His torment should come to you by night or by day, which portion thereof would the Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals) hasten on ?"

Say: "Do ye see,- if His punishment should come to you by night or by day,- what portion of it would the sinners wish to hasten?

Tell them ˹O Prophet˺, "Imagine if His torment were to overcome you by night or day—do the wicked realize what they are ˹really˺ asking Him to hasten?

Say, "Just tell me, if His punishment befalls you at night or by day, what (desirable thing) will it have that the sinners are asking it so hurriedly?

Say, ‘Think: if His punishment were to come to you, during the night or day, what part of it would the guilty wish to hasten?

Say: 'Have you considered? If His chastisement comes upon you by night or day, what part of it will the sinners seek to hasten?

Say, 'Let us see now when the torment comes to you, by night or day, what will the sinners fain bring on thereof?

Say, "I have no power to harm or profit myself (or I have no power myself to harm or profit), save what Allah wills. Every nation has its appointed time; when their appointed time comes to them they cannot delay it for an hour or hasten it."

Say, "Have you seen (that), in case His torment comes up to you at night (Or in their homes) or day-time, what is there of it that the criminals seek to hasten?

Say, tell me; if the punishment of God overtake you by night, or by day, what part thereof will the ungodly wish to be hastened?

Say: "Do you see— If the punishment from Him should come to you by night or by day— Which part of it (punishment) would the sinners want to hasten?

Say, `Tell me, if His punishment overtakes you (unexpectedly) by night or by day. How can those who cut off their ties (with Allâh) hasten away (to escape) from it?

Say, ‘Tell me, should His punishment overtake you by night or day, [you will not be able to avert it]; so what part of it do the guilty seek to hasten?’
