27. Surah An-Naml, Verse 68

"We have been promised this, both us and our fathers before. This is nothing but tales of the ancients!"

Indeed we were promised this, and our forefathers. It is nothing but fables of ancient times."

“We have been promised this, we and our fathers, before; this is only legends of the former peoples.”

"We have been promised this, both us and our fathers before. This is nothing except fictional tales of old!"

"We have been promised this, both us and our fathers before. This is nothing but tales of the ancients!"

We have been promised this before, we and our fathers. This is nothing but myths and legends of previous peoples.’

"We have been given the same promise in the past. These are nothing but tales from the past."

Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore."

We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples."

Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!"

We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old.

"We" they add, "have been promised that before and so have our fathers; this is indeed nothing but fables of old".

"We are told these [none senses] in the past. These are nothing but mythology type of stories."

"Indeed we were promised this - we and our forefathers before (us), verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients."

"It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients."

We have already been promised this, as well as our forefathers earlier. This is nothing but ancient fables!"

Indeed, it was promised to us and to our fathers even before this. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients."

We have heard such promises before, and so did our forefathers. These are just ancient fables.’

We have been promised this, and our fathers before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients. '

We were promised this, we and our fathers before us, this is nothing but old folks' tales!'

And those who disbelieved say, "What! When we have become dust and (or like) our fathers, shall we indeed be brought forth?

Indeed, we have already been promised this, we and our fathers earlier. Decidedly this is (nothing) except myths of the earliest (people)."

Verily we have been threatened with this, both we and our fathers, heretofore. This is no other than fables of the ancients.

"Indeed, we were promised this— We and our fathers before (us): These are nothing but the stories of the old. "

`We have been surely given this promise once before (this) and also our forefathers. But such a thing is nothing but tales of the ancients.'

Certainly we and our fathers were promised this before. [But] these are just myths of the ancients.’
