27. Surah An-Naml, Verse 45

And We have sent to Thamud their brother Saleh: "You shall serve God. " But they became two disputing groups.

And, indeed, We sent to Thamud their brother Saleh saying, "Serve Allah alone. " They had become divided into two contending classes (the rich and the poor).

And We sent to Thamūd their brother Ṣāliḥ: “— That you serve God,” but then were they two factions quarrelling.

And We have sent to Thamud their brother Saleh: "You shall serve God." But they became two disputing groups.

We have sent to Thamud their brother Saleh: "You shall serve God." But they became two disputing groups.

To Thamud We sent their brother Salih telling them to worship Allah, and straightaway they divided in two, arguing with one another.

We have sent to Thamoud their brother Saaleh, saying, "You shall worship GOD." But they turned into two feuding factions.

We sent to Thamud their brother Saleh (who said): "Worship God. " But they were divided into two groups disputing with one another.

And We had certainly sent to Thamud their brother êaliú, [saying], "Worship Allah," and at once they were two parties conflicting.

AND [likewise], indeed, We sent unto [the tribe of] Thamud their brother Salih [with this message]: "Worship God alone!" and, behold, they were [split into] two factions contending with one another.

And We verily sent unto Thamud their brother Salih, saying: Worship Allah. And lo! they (then became two parties quarrelling.

And We sent to Thamud -the Thamudites- their brother Saleh to exhort them to pay low submissive reverence for Allah but they were divided among themselves into two parties occasioning disputes against each other leading to hostile feeling and action.

As to Thamood, I (God) appointed their brother Saleh as my Prophet to invite them to worship the Lord. Instead [ of being united under the flag of the Lord and find peace,] they turned into two fighting groups.

And indeed We sent to Thamûd their brother Sâlih, saying: "Worship Allâh (Alone and none else). Then look! They became two parties (believers and disbelievers) quarreling with each other."

We sent (aforetime), to the Thamud, their brother Salih, saying, "Serve Allah": But behold, they became two factions quarrelling with each other.

And We certainly sent to the people of Thamûd their brother Ṣâliḥ, proclaiming, "Worship Allah," but they suddenly split into two opposing groups.[1]

And We sent to Thamūd their brother SāliH saying (to them), "Worship Allah". Then suddenly they became two groups quarrelling with each other.

To the people of Thamud We sent their brother, Salih, saying, ‘Worship God alone,’ but they split into two rival factions.

And We sent to Thamood their brother Salih: 'Serve you God!' And behold, they were two parties, that were disputing one with another.

And we sent unto Thamud their brother Zali'h, 'Serve God;' but behold, they were two parties who contended!

And it was said to her, "Enter the court. " And when she saw it, she thought it was a pool, and she bared her legs (tucked up her skirt to go into it). Said he, "Verily, it is a court paved with glass!" Said she, "My Lord! Verily, I have wronged my soul, but I do now Surrender ( i.e. in Islam) with Solomon to the Lord of the Worlds!"

And indeed We already sent to Thamûd their brother Salih, (saying), "Worship Allah. " Then, only then were they two groups, standing adversaries one with the other.

Also We heretofore sent unto the tribe of Thamud their brother Saleh; who said unto them, Serve ye God. And behold, they were divided into two parties, who disputed among themselves.

(Before now), We sent to the Samood (Thamud), their brother Sálih, saying, "Worship (serve) Allah:" But look! They became two groups arguing with each other.

And (likewise) We sent to Thamûd their kinsman Sâlih, (who said), `Worship Allâh. ' But (as soon as they heard this preaching) they broke up into two factions who contended with each another.

Certainly We sent to Thamūd Ṣāliḥ, their brother, [with the summons:] ‘Worship Allah!’ But thereat they became two groups contending with each other.
