10. Surah Yunus, Verse 51

"Would you then, when it occurs, believe in it While now you are hastening it on!"

"Would you then profess belief in it at last, when it comes to pass! Ah! Now? And you wanted to hasten it on. " (But the period of Respite has been over).

Then is it, when it has befallen, you will believe in it? Now? When you had sought to hasten it?

"Will you then, when it occurs, believe in it? While now you are hastening it on!"

"When it occurs, would you then acknowledge it? While now you are hastening it on!"

And then, when it actually comes about: ‘Now do you have iman in it? It was this that you were trying to hasten!’

"If it does happen, will you believe then? Why should you believe then? You used to challenge it to come?"

Will you believe it when it comes to pass? Indeed, you will believe it then. How impatient you were to hasten it!

Then is it that when it has [actually] occurred you will believe in it? Now? And you were [once] for it impatient

Will you, then, believe in it [only] after it has come to pass -[on the Day when you will be asked, `Do you believe in it] now, after having [contemptuously] called for its speedy advent?'

Is it (only) then, when it hath befallen you, that ye will believe? What! (Believe) now, when (until now) ye have been hastening it on (through disbelief)?

Is it only now that your Hereafter is planted you admit that it is carried on from discourse and design to reality and effect, when in life below you mockingly challenged it and wished it be hastened on!

If you see your doom with your own eyes, will you believe then? But how can you then escape from an inescapable event that you asked to happen to you?

Is it then that when it has actually befallen, you will believe in it? What! Now (you believe)? And you used (aforetime) to hasten it on!"

"Would ye then believe in it at last, when it actually cometh to pass? (It will then be said): 'Ah! now? and ye wanted (aforetime) to hasten it on!'

Will you believe in it only after it has overtaken you? Now? But you always wanted to hasten it!"

Is it only when it befalls you that you will believe in it? (It will be said to you at that time, "Have you believed) now, while you used to demand (in mockery) that it should come sooner?"

Will you believe in it, when it actually happens?’ It will be said, ‘Now [you believe], when [before] you sought to hasten it?’

What, when it has come to pass, will you then believe in it? Now, when already you seek to hasten it!'

And when it has fallen - will ye believe in it now!- And yet ye wish to bring it on!

Say, "Have you considered, when His punishment comes to you, by night or day, which portion thereof will the sinners wish to hasten?

Is it (only) thereafter, when it befalls, that you will believe in it? Do (you believe) now? And already you were seeking to hasten it!"

When it falleth on you, do ye then believe it? Now do ye believe, and wish it far from you, when ye formerly desired it should be hastened?

"At last, would you then believe in it, when it actually comes true?" (It will then be said:) "Well now? And you wanted to hasten it on!"

`Will you then believe in it when this (punishment) has (actually) befallen (you)? (It will be useless then and you will be told), "Now (you believe!) whereas you were keen on hastening it on before the appointed time". '

‘What! Do you believe it when it has befallen? Now? While you would seek to hasten it [earlier]?!’
